Bonsai Bonanza

In Term Four Sutherland students learnt about traditional bonsai growing. Students were taught growing techniques including potting, wiring, fertilising and the best location to grow a bonsai plant. It was a wonderfully unique learning experience, with each student setting up and planting a bonsai of their own. This fantastic activity would not have been possible without the generous support of Bunnings Kirrawee and the Illawarra Bonsai Society. Special Thanks must also go to Mr Andrew Christy for sharing his expertise with the students, his coordination of materials and enthusiastic support of our school. Thank you.
