Each Tuesday our band tutor Matt Humphries and his team provide students with the opportunity to develop their music skills.These programs are extra curricular activities and require payment at the beginning of each term to participate.
Students in Years 4 to 6 can join. Year 3 students who can read music or learn an instrument outside school are also invited to join.
Students need to provide their own instruments.
Band and Strings ensemble
The band program occurs in school time. There is a combined rehearsal of all instruments as well as tutorials in smaller groups.
The band performs at school events during the year as well as BandFest, Big Band Day and also at Sutherland entertainment Centre.
Fees
A fee of $80 per term applies to both band and violin students. This should be paid at the beginning of each term. Students who do not pay will forfeit their band placement.
Bus fares of Approximately $15 per trip will be required for performances outside of school.
